New Music: Run The Jewels 'A Christmas Fucking Miracle'
f you're a rapper and taking on the Christmas jingle, you've got a lot to live up to. Run-DMC's "Christmas in Hollis" for one, and their "Christmas Is" for another. There's "Merry Muthaf---in' Xmas" by Eazy-E and "Christmas in Harlem" from Kanye West featuring Big Sean, Pusha T and Snoop Dogg's "Santa Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto" too.
El-P and Miller Mike, collectively known as Run The Jewels, drop their own Christmas rap and it's not exactly jolly. "A Christmas Fucking Miracle" is a guitar-heavy street rap that focuses more on hard knocks than sipping eggnog.
In the visuals directed by Joey Garfield, Killer Mike plays Ebenezer Scrooge and Santa Claus to El-P's Tiny Tim and Christmas Elf. Hey, who says Santa Claus isn't black?

Wale ditches the DC sound to opt for some Jamaican inspiration for "Walk 'N Live," where he barks back after the messy phone incident that happened last week that caused him to blow a fuse. "I get it, I got a temper, cry me a river/Into an ocean. I do the most to ride for a culture," he raps. Oop.
The DJ Relly Rell-produced song quotes a standout line from the 1997 movie Dancehall Queen: "Walk an' live, talk an' bumbaclot dead." Take a listen to the gritty cut below.

New Music: King Charles Feat. Katie Melua & Shingai Shoniwa 'Lov Madiba'
A new tribute song to the historical impact of Nelson Mandela comes from London-based musician King Charles, titled “Lov Madiba.”
The powerful melody features lyrics from Katie Melua and the Noisettes vocalist, Shingai Shoniwa.
"Nelson Mandela has always been very close to my heart because my father was born and bred in the South African farmland, was at school during Mandela's trial and became very active at University of the Witwatersrand as president of the student union in staunch opposition to the ruling apartheid regime,” King Charles said, whose father was a former South African student activist.
“I think it's one of the great privileges of our lifetime to have shared a lifetime with Mandela and I would like to do all I can to keep his legacy very active,” the former band member of Adventure Playground also mentioned. “I think there is power in singing and shouting the name of freedom, and it is a role I think I can play in a very relevant struggle.”

This new Pharrell-produced track comes off Mac Miller's forthcoming album, Live From Space, and features a guest spot from the ATLien, Future. In addition to providing listeners with this 90-second snippet, it's rumored that this mellow track could be a leak off his his joint EP with Pharrell titled Pink Slime. The highly-anticipated album was pushed back due to hectic scheldules, but the Pittsburgh-native is eyeing an end of 2014 release date.
