Ohio State players line up to hug broadcaster who lost his daughter (Video) | Dr. Saturday - Yahoo Sports

Dom Tiberi, the sports director of WBNS-10TV in Columbus who has covered Ohio State football since the 1980s, lost his 21-year old daughter Maria, an OSU student, in a car crash on September 17.

After taking a short leave from work to mourn, Tiberi returned to Ohio Stadium to cover the Buckeyes’ victory over Wisconsin Saturday night, and as the players left the field following the win, each warmly greeted Tiberi with a hug.

The Buckeyes honored Maria with a moment of silence by adding her initials, “MT,” to the back of their helmets in last week’s dominant victory over Florida A&M.

Tiberi made his emotional return to the anchor desk last Thursday and tearfully thanked Urban Meyer and the Buckeye program for their outpouring of support.
Well done, Buckeyes, for a truly classy and heartwarming gesture.

Dina Manzo In Talks For 'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Return

dina manzo real housewives of new jersey return

Dina Manzo is in talks to return to "Real Housewives of New Jersey," according to In Touch. Dina left the show during the second season and said the "Real Housewives" antics left her "horrified."

"When I went home at the end of the night and I was shaking instead of feeling inspired, I knew there was something wrong," she said. "At the very beginning of filming we had a lot of fun ... Because they weren't sure what direction the show was going into -- it was before the table flip happened."

However, In Touch reports now that Dina's estranged sister Caroline Manzo is reportedly leaving the show for her own spinoff and former cast member Danielle Staub is long gone, Dina could return full-time to the Bravo series.

“The timing is perfect -- Caroline won’t be returning next season," a source told In Touch. “She has her spinoff and that’s what she’s moving on to. She might appear in a couple episodes here and there."

A spokesperson for Bravo had no comment on the report.

She is beyond professional, she kept on singing.

New Music: Rich Homie Quan Feat. Jeezy & Meek Mill 'Type Of Way' (Remix)

ATL rapper Rich Homie Quan enlists Jeezy and Meek Mill for the remix to his infectious summer single "Type of Way." While Jeezy and Quan have collaborated before on the tracks "My Ni**a" and "No Pressure," the remix marks the first time Quan has worked with Meek. The success of the original, which peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 perhaps urged the up-and-coming Atlanta artist to re-create the Young Carter-produced anthem.

Aware of his accomplishment, Quan begins the second verse of the remix by crooning, "Okay, some 'Type of Way' it made the Billboard mama (It did Mama)/ I know you feel some type of way about my come-up (I know you do)." Check out the remix equipped with all new lyrics below:

New Music: Demetria McKinney ‘Work With Me’!!!

Madonna debuted a new song, backed by her son Rocco, in New York City

Madonna's new ballad started off with her on her knees at the front of the stage, accompanied by just a piano. After three minutes she was joined by a mystery dancer - dressed head to toe in black and clad in a balaclava - who turned out to be Rocco, 13, who did an interpretive break dance to the song.

Stars gathered at the event included Madonna's ex-husband Sean Penn, Lindsay Lohan, Anderson Cooper, Donna Karan, Zachary Quinto, Calvin Klein and David Blaine.

The '#SecretProjectRevolution' film was also broadcast at venues in other cities around the world, including Los Angeles, Berlin, London and Toronto.

In the movie Madonna can be seen dressed as a prisoner/jailer while the content includes a lot of artistic musing over concepts of democracy.

A post on the project's website states: "Madonna & Steven Klein invite you to start your own revolution of love. We have created this platform to give people around the world an opportunity to answer the question:

'what does freedom mean to you?' "

Philipp Plein Employs Only Black Models for Milan Fashion Week

Philipp Plein - Runway - Milan Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014

German designer Philipp Plein is one of the first to answer Bethann Hardison’s plea for more black models on the runway. Using Milan Fashion Week as a platform, Plein employed all black models for his “Only Black” Spring 2014 runway presentation.

“My message is about breaking down barriers and breaking the rules. Doing the unexpected and shaking people from their complacence, forcing people to face the future where old prejudices have no place,” he tells Fashionista. “For example, the public expects to see pallid girls in high heels walking my show and I give them a fleet of black beauties in flats!”

In addition to brown beauties Liya Kedebe and Alek Wek, femcee Iggy Azalea graced the runway as a performer. In a behind-the-scenes video, Plein also hopes his actions will inspire other high-profile designers to do the same.

Wendell Pierce Sparks New Michael J. Fox Sitcom

"I've always wanted one thing," says Wendell Pierce. "To have a diverse career, to be a journeyman actor."

Mission accomplished this fall. With no fewer than four projects in release, Pierce will meet himself coming.

Earlier this month, he made his latest appearance in a recurring role on the USA law drama "Suits."

He has a new film opening, an edgy indie drama titled "Four" wherein he plays a family man who keeps his homosexuality secret while he hooks up harmfully with a teenage boy through an online dating site.

In December, he returns as fancy-free jazz trombonist Antoine Batiste on HBO's glorious New Orleans series "Treme," airing its final season.

And that's all on top of Pierce's dandy new role on "The Michael J. Fox Show," which premieres on NBC Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT in a special hour-long edition.

"This," Pierce sums up proudly, "is the diversity I always wanted."

On the new comedy, Pierce summons his rascally charm to play Harris Green, news director of a New York TV station and longtime pal of former anchor Mike Henry, played by Fox.

Mirroring Fox's own real-life plight, Mike suffers from Parkinson's disease, but, after several years retired from the anchor desk at home with his family, he is persuaded by Harris to return to work (just as Fox is returning to full-time acting after a dozen years of limited performances).

Even though Harris sees Mike as his meal ticket ("Guaranteed ratings!" he crows when Mike agrees to come back), they are truly friends, and, reflecting that, Pierce and Fox have forged a chemistry that pops on screen.

At one point, Mike needles Harris about his resistance to settling down with a woman and being a dad.

"Thirty years of lovemaking, not even one slip!" boasts Harris. "Not even a scare."

"Maybe you're doing it wrong," Mike offers.

"It's like this — right?" jokes Harris, deadpan, demonstrating with his index finger passing just outside, not within, the circle formed by his other index finger and thumb.

It's a delightful bit of comic business, which Pierce says he and Fox invented on the spot.

"Michael has a really wonderful sense of timing, and he's really authentic," reports Pierce. "We'll do a take and I'll say, 'Ah, I feel like I'm in a vacuum.' And he'll say, 'I like working that way! Stay in the moment and the moment will inform you.'

"Michael has helped remind me of that: You create all those memories that in your real life you take for granted. In your heart and your mind, you create a world for your character so strong that it INDUCES your character's behavior."

Pierce had been filming that morning, but, unexpectedly granted the afternoon off, he has joined a reporter at a sidewalk cafe on Manhattan's Upper West Side where, clad in a polo shirt, chinos and sandals with black socks, he nurses a beer in the late-September chill.

Spending time with him bears out the unifying nature of his diverse roles: He's a guy you like hanging with. With a full frame, a broad sweet face and a mischievous magnetism, he's good company.

Consider the role for which he is perhaps best known: as Bunk Moreland, the dapper, dry-witted detective on HBO's epic urban drama "The Wire." A series with dense storylines and grim twists, it was given its essential heart in large part thanks to Bunk's partnership with Detective Jimmy McNulty (Dominic West).

Pierce even infuses with intermittent charm his character in "Four," a somber drama about living a lie and the damage that results.

"I'll answer the question that you really want to ask," he chuckles when the film is broached: "WHY? Why did you do it?"

He explains he had seen the play and admired it, then was "shocked" when he was asked to play a role in the film so far outside his norm.

"The character explores the ripple effect of abhorrent behavior," he says. "As an actor you're always a student of human behavior, and to study this sort of behavior is why I took the role."

Pierce, who turns 50 in December, got into acting as a youngster growing up in New Orleans. He attended a theater camp at the University of New Orleans, and liked it, then enrolled at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. Then he headed to New York and Juilliard to further hone his technique (including a speaking voice that, in its full come-hither mode, could rival Barry White's).

But Pierce has never lost touch with his home town, helping spearhead projects that include a redevelopment effort to build new homes and a chain of quality supermarkets in neighborhoods that need the nutrition as well as the jobs.

And through it all, he has forged an acting career he is proud of — especially this fall, he says, toasting himself with a sip of his beer.

[WATCH] ASAP Rocky: ‘Fashion Killa’ Video With Rihanna

Rap artist A$AP Rocky premiered his new music video for his latest single, ’Fashion Killa’ – starring the original ‘bad girl,’ Rihanna – on BET’s ’106 & Park’ on Sept. 22nd. The track was released as A$AP’s fourth single from his debut studio album ‘Long Live A$AP,’ which hit the shelves Jan. 15th. Check out the video below!

Fans of A$AP Rocky, 24, have been waiting patiently for the premiere of the “Fashion Killa” video ever since August, when pictures emerged online of him and Barbados native, Rihanna, 25, filming on set outside a convenience store. Now the highly anticipated video is here and it definitely doesn’t disappoint! A$AP and Rihanna get up close and personal in the video as the two stars flirtatiously share a few laughs — and cuddles!

ASAP Rocky: ‘Fashion Killa’ Video With Rihanna — Full Video

A$AP Rocky was a featured guest on BET’s video countdown show 106 & Park to premiere his new music video for “Fashion Killa,” which might as well be an ode to Rihanna’s fabulous style! A$AP, who has collaborated with RiRi in the past on the track “Cockiness” is clearly a huge fan of the Unapologetic singer! The sexual tension between the two entertainers is off the charts once again in their latest video, which shows A$AP taking Rihanna on a shopping spree as they enjoy a night out on the town.
Rihanna, dressed in a skintight zebra print maxi dress, coyly tries out fierce outfits and accessories for A$AP, including a black mesh cat mask. She is also seen playfully frisking a mannequin — even planting a kiss on its lips! It looks like Rihanna is acting out what she’d like to do to A$AP Rocky on the mannequin. Can these two just get together already!? Kidding.

ASAP Rocky: ‘Fashion Killa’ Lyrics

Here are some of the lyrics from A$AP’s “Fashion Killa:”
Her attitude Rihanna, she get it from her mama
She jiggy like Madonna, but she trippy like Nirvana
Cause everything designer, her jeans is Helmut Lang
Shoes is Alexander Wang and her shirt the newest Donna
Karan, wearing all the Cartier frames
Jean Paul Gaultiers, cause they match with her persona
Of course this song has bad gal RiRi’s name all over it. She definitely rocks out in style as one of the best fashionistas of this generation. Her cameo in “Fashion Killa” was the perfect choice for this video! Good job, A$AP!
What do YOU think of the video for “Fashion Killa,” HollywoodLifers? Sound off below!

J. Cole Producing Songs on New TLC Album

Roc Nation star vows to give duo his "best material."

Posted: 09/23/2013 03:19 PM EDT
J. Cole, TLC
J. Cole's work with TLC is going to extend past their "Crooked Smile" collaboration. The North Carolina rapper is producing songs on the duo's upcoming album. Cole shared details about the project with Billboard.com during the iHeart Radio Music Festival Friday (Sept. 20).
Cole brought members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas out to perform "Crooked Smile" for the first time live. "Finally we made that happened," he said. "We couldn't have picked a better place [than the iHeart Music Festival] to do it at. It's so huge, this was perfect for them to come out and do that song."
Adding the R&B icons to his sophomore album, Born Sinner, was a must. "I was such a fan of theirs growing up. I still am," Cole explained. "It's like when I made 'Crooked Smile,' I instantly thought of them because not only did I miss their voice, but they had these huge positive  records, like 'Unpretty' and 'Waterfalls,' and I was just like 'Man, it makes too much sense. I gotta have them on a song like 'Crooked Smile.'"
If all goes according to plan, he'll return the favor with their new project. "Hopefully depending on how these songs turn out I got some production on the album that they're doing," he continued. "What we're really planning on doing is to really go in and lock in, because as a producer I know what I can give them. I know what I can bring them, and I know what they need. They don't need me, but I'll give them my best material."
Aside from building his production credits the 28-year-old is busy promoting Born Sinner and recently launched his nationwide What Dreams May Come Tour, inspired by the Robin Williams film about a man's journey through the afterlife. "Born Sinner was based on that movie conceptually, because if you listen to the album it's literally like…you['re] starting off in hell and trying to make it to heaven. The tour is the same way."
The tour wraps domestically Nov. 2 at an undisclosed location, which may or may not be New York City. "Contractually I can't announce anything," he said of why he hasn't etched out room for the Big Apple, but assured that a date is on the way. "There's certain places you just gotta go... New York is one of those ones we definitely gonna come see, I just can't announce anything for like a few weeks."
Cole begins the European leg of What Dreams May Come Nov. 24 in Paris.

Edie Falco - James Gandolfini Emmys Tribute

1

Amid the joy of Emmy winners and laughter from Neil Patrick Harris' adorable jokes, tonight's Emmy Awards were also filled with sadness over some of the legendary talent we lost this year. After Jane Lynch's touching Cory Monteith tribute, Edie Falco paid homage to her venerable Sopranos costar James Gandolfini. Playing his TV partner for six legendary seasons afforded her the opportunity to get to know him better than most, and her feelings showed in her emotional eulogy. The actress teared up as she told the audience that "Jim" was so much more than the man he played on screen.

"He had tremendous warmth and heart," she said. "He was kind. He was uniquely generous." Falco went on to regale us all with his devotion and loyalty to his family and friends, how we was always there for anyone who needed a hand. "You all knew James Gandolfini, the actor," she said. "I was lucky enough to know Jim, the man, for 10 years as his close colleague and his pretend life partner and for many more years as his friend. And it's Jim, the man, the very dear man, that I will miss most of all."

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter on new memoir: ‘It’s deep’

Nick Carter
The Backstreet Boys topped the charts in the late 1990s and early 2000s. But, the success did not help fellow member Nick Carter.

“It was definitely the reason why things escalated, family problems, the dysfunction; all those things were there,” Carter said. “I think [the success] kind of just made it worse.”

In his new memoir, Facing the Music and Living To Talk About It, Carter talks about drug and alcohol addictions, relationship with ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton and the death of his younger sister Leslie from an overdose last year.

He says he regrets his past party lifestyle but hopes the self-help advice in the book helps readers overcome their own obstacles.

Carter credits a lot of his recovery to bandmate Kevin Richardson, who gave
him Norman Vincent Peale’s self-help book, Why Some Positive Thinkers Get Powerful Results during the height of his struggles back in 2004.

“I turned to self-help books in a time of need; a lot of these problems might have been in my head, maybe I needed to reteach myself,” he said.

But, Richardson was not easy on him. Richardson said Carter was “destroying himself,” as his nightly intake included vodka and cocaine.

“He didn’t sugarcoat things; he really made me see it for what it I was, and I think that’s how he helped,” Carter said. “He was that, figure that I kind of appreciated and looked up to in a way; I wanted to prove to him that I could take it and do better.”

Carter said the music scene today has stayed the same in terms of easy access to those seeking
approval through stimulants.

“If you’re lost and you’re searching for validation, if you want drugs, if you want alcohol, you’re going to find those things,” he said.

Carter, who grew up about 30 minutes from Tampa, said the main reason he wrote the book was because he never really had something close to his heart.

“I wanted to give back; I have been in this business a long time,” he said.

Speaking of business, Carter is now working on a VH1 reality series and a horror movie. (Not to fear; they are separate!) He liked to shed the “boy band” stereotype by working on new projects.

The horror movie, Evil Blessings, is about a group of college kids who visit the woods and uncover a cursed 19th century family. Carter financed it publicly and hopes to have a budget prepared soon.

The VH1 series, still in the preliminary stages, will follow the pop singer’s life, including his engagement to longtime girlfriend Lauren Kitt. Carter, 33, had an eight-episode reality show stint back in 2006 with House of Carters on E!, which featured the whole family, including Aaron Carter.

The memoir, due out Tuesday, is only the “first chapter,” according to Carter. He says he is still trying to learn about himself. But, the book is still heavy on content: “It’s deep. It’s kind of a peek into intimate parts of my life.”
