New Music: Major Lazer Feat. Pharrell “Aerosol Can”

Major Lazer and Pharrell get the party started on “Aerosol Can,” a song off Major Lazer’s upcoming Apocalypse Soon EP. Skateboard P raps effortlessly over some bouncy production from the electronic-dancehall DJ crew. The record was first previewedduring this year’s Holy Ship!!! cruise earlier this month.

Due February 25, Major Lazer’s 5-track EP will feature appearances from Pharrell, Sean Paul, Machel Montano, and RDX. Check out the tracklisting and listen to “Aerosal Can,” which was debuted by Zane Low on BBC Radio 1 below.

[New Music] Jhene Aiko’s Sister Mila J aka Japollonia Releases New Track ‘Smoke, Drink, Break Up’

ither we smoke or we drink or we break up…

In case you didn’t know, Jhene Aiko isn’t the only musically-talented sibling in her family. Her 30-year-old big sister Jamila has been out here grinding for over 20 years. She first started off indance and girl groups before grabbing the attention of Chris Stokes when she appeared in Prince’s “Diamonds & Pearls” music video back in ’91. Ever since then, she’s been making her own way in R&B going from being the more soft and gentle ‘Mila J’ to the little bit rougher ‘Japollonia.’

This week, the stylish beauty dropped her new single, ‘Smoke, Drink, Break Up,’ which is a break-up-to-make up track about wanting to leave her man because it’s to the point where they have to get high or tipsy to even deal with each other.

See I love you but I don’t like that
I leave but then I come right back to you
So what is the point
I might as well sit here and roll me a joint
Or pour me a drink
So I can wasted and don’t have to think no more

Jennifer Lopez - "Same Girl" [Music Video]

"This was just something I was doing for the fans, it’s not a first single or anything like that", told Jennifer to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. Although, I love the fact Jennifer is returning to her "urban" roots, "Same Girl" is a bit weak, in my opinion. She recorded this song in early 2013. Let's just hope she was just getting her sound back when she was recording this, and that she had the "sound" perfected and ready to go when the time came to record her actual studio album, which should be out this summer. No doubt Jennifer is gonna promote the true first single during the "Idol" live shows.

The full studio version of "Same Girl" was debuted with the premiere of the music video, which was released online on January 30th via Complex.com.

No, he did not just turn the sweet and innocent Aqua song "Barbie Girl" into a freaky song. "Party Girls" is the rapper Ludacris' brand new single, featuring Wiz Khalifa, Jeremih andCashmere Cat, off of his forthcoming 8th studio album "Ludaversal".

I just can't at the number of delays "Ludaversal" has suffered. The LP was supposed to come out in 2012, then in 2013 and now it's scheduled to hit stores Stateside in "the first semester of 2014" via Def Jam. Should we believe it or not?.

"Ludaversal" had spawned thus far three official singles; "Jingalin'", "Representin'" and "Rest of My Life". However, at this point, I doubt any of those three songs will make it into the final tracklisting. And looks like "Rest of My Life", produced by David Guetta, that gave hint Ludacris may pursue the "dance-rap" genre for "Ludaversal", was just a test. 'Cause now with new single "Party Girls", Luda is back on his hip-hop ground.

Although it's not very hip-hop to sample Aqua...right?. R&B singer Jeremih will sing a modified, freaky version of the "Barbie Girl" chorus in "Party Girls".

Olawumi – Wrong | New Music

Ever so often a brand new artist hits the scene and captivates up with their talents. Today is one of those days as the up and coming Olawumi returns with something new and rather dope called “Wrong”.

The track is an energetic number pushed by a menacing melody of keys that gets backed up by some tough, rattling drum work that makes a nice home for the young lady to do her thing. In the funny, and laidback visual, the Paramore members have the mission to break the most world records in a music video. They do the most random things. Beautiful Hayley Williams looked flawless in "feathers" scene.

Rapper Future takes over Beyonc's rising hit "Drunk In Love" in this reworked version released online today (Jan. 29) on SoundCloud. "Drunk In Love", produced by Detail, Timbaland, J-Roc and Boots, is the lead "urban" single from Beyonc's self-titled fifth studio album. The single has, so far, peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

There is no trace of Beyonc in this remix, it's all Future.

Watch Aloe Blacc’s new music video ‘Love Is The Answer’

Lincoln has teamed with recording artist Aloe Blacc and Interscope Records to create an interactivemusic video for his new song “Love is the Answer.”

The video – produced by Legs and directed by Radical Friend – was teased during one of four Lincoln ad spots that aired during Sunday night’s Grammy Awards telecast and is available on the Lincoln YouTube channel. 

“Lincoln’s long-standing relationship in film is being transformed as we look to attract new audiences,” said Andrew Frick, group marketing manager, Lincoln. “By actively participating in this music video’s creative process, Lincoln is able to connect with open-minded individuals who want to understand the heritage of our brand while being engaged in unique and unexpected ways.”

The collaboration with Blacc is Lincoln’s latest approach to surround cultural conversation of its vehicles and amplify the brand’s digital content by providing an interactive experience that allows consumers to uncover their own version of the video. Viewers are presented with a unique audiovisual experience that features the MKZ sedan. Various camera-view selections embedded in the video allow viewers to peel back layers in order to seamlessly switch from one angle to another.
